The last couple of days have been what I would call a test of character. Riding in those
amazing parks with great weather was so exciting. However, that has changed. The rain
which was just missing us, finally caught up. Conditions have been cold (under 40F),windy
and rainy. This resulting in tense riding, less miles and no photo taking.

We're not complaining because of how fortunate we have been up to now enjoying most
of the Rockies. The Rocky Mountains being pure "TETONIC ARTISTRY". The country
we're riding through now is beautiful, though hard to see with rain splattered windshields!
This part of the ride is smaller rolling mountains with a lot more foliage and much greener.
Supposedly heavy in wildlife but we have seen little. Which is good considering the conditions.
This part of  Canada being heavily forested, is known for it's lumber. A lot of logging trucks
and sawmills.

The other big industry up here is oil/natural gas. Most of the towns along this route exist because of these  resources. It just so happens that this is their slow season for oil/gas. This is because of the wet soft
conditions in the field. The companies need the ground frozen to bring in the heavy rigs to work.
Being the off season is makes obtaining lodging easier.

We're doing well and making progress. Sunday we managed 390 miles, from Jasper AB to Fort
St. John BC.  Monday was miserable with heavier rain and high winds but we squeezed out 240
miles. Fort St. John to Fort Nelson.

Anyway not much else to tell. We have until Saturday to get to Anchorage, aye. This is when
the family will meet us for a week of sightseeing. The next couple of days will be more of the same.
