4000+ MILES LATER
WE MADE IT!!!!!!!
Today we traveled 400 miles from Whitehorse YT to Tok Alaska. Another morning of cold and rain but fortunately the rain stopped about an hour out of Haines Junction. Here we encountered the worst road conditions of the trip so far! Large ruts, busted ashphalt, pot holes that would swallow a Grizzly, perma frost heaves, loose gravel, mud and construction crews. This lasted for about 150 miles and a majority of it was on the Yukon side, where it appears they are doing very little about it.
Once we were thru customs, about a 1/2 hour ordeal, there was 20 miles of road work. By the time we finished that the sun was coming out and the roads were in excellant condition. Cruising along listening to Styx on my I-Pod and enjoying more incredible scenery. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!

Things of note;
1- We see the wives tommorow
2- we exceded the 4000 mile mark
3- Thanks to Scot for our official shirts
to enter Alaska!

CONGRATULATIONS on reaching Alaska!! Hope you had a great weekend with the families, I only saw about 25 cars at your house Saturday night Mark (Just kidding)! Looks like the scenery is living up to the hipe. The only wildlife I saw this weekend was about 25000 people at IKEA buying their kids college furniture!! Congrats again!
Safe travels
Scot
